FUNDRAISING

How does the money raised get used?

All of the proceeds from our fundraising efforts go towards enriching learning opportunities for the students at Clinton, such as the purchase of classroom technology, books for the library, gym equipment, greening of the school yard, along with supporting Clinton families via our community support fund, and offering access to our unique art program ARTsmart where visiting artists work with students on different art projects.

Here are just a few examples of ways fundraising helps enhance our children's learning experience at Clinton:

  • The Community Support Fund was established to ensure that all families at Clinton can participate in community and learning activities regardless of financial constraints.

  • Safe Return to School Kits - Each child was provided with a starter pack to promote health, hygiene, and safe in-person learning during the COVID pandemic. Clinton was also able to donate kits to a sister school to support their safe return

  • Schoolyard Improvements - The community raised more than $20,000 over a two year period to fund the schoolyard improvements including an upgrade of the soccer pitch and running track, new benches, bike racks and outdoor seating, and a new enclosed outdoor area for kindergarten learning and exploration

  • S.T.E.A.M./maker space – The 2017 Parent Social raised more than $6000 for the library and funding of the new S.T.E.A.M./Maker Space.

  • ArtSmart Program - Clinton is proud to be able to provide ongoing support to this unique program

  • School Library – Funds raised at the 2017 Parent Social paid for all of the planned library improvements.

  • Dance, fitness and cultural programs

  • Fullfilling classroom/department needs – In past years, $100-$300 has been given to each teacher to use at their discretion within their classroom. Money was also given to each division (primary and junior) for shared resources (ie. math and science materials etc) and levelled books for classroom reading.

  • Music Department

  • Gym Equipment / Sports Teams

  • Materials for various school clubs

2021-2022 Fundraising Goals

The COVID pandemic severely limited fundraising opportunities in 2020-2021. Our community came out in response in October 2021 pledging over $13,000 to our donation drive campaign. We greatly appreciate your support!

Most of the money that we raise is used to fund items from the Wish List.
