More Info About Clinton School Council:
WHAT IS COUNCIL?
School Council is an advisory group of parents, principal and staff who work together to enrich the educational experience for our children, through community building and fundraising. Parent Council is your opportunity to be involved in what happens at your child's school.
WHEN DOES COUNCIL MEET?
Council meets once per month throughout the school year. Our meetings begin at 6:00 and run until approximately 7:00.
WHAT DOES COUNCIL DO?
Council advises the principal and the TDSB on a wide range of issues and organizes events such as Pizza Lunches, the Staff & Volunteer Appreciation Lunch, the Fall Fair and other community events. The weekly Pizza Lunches is our main fundraiser, generating $20,000-$25,000 over the last few years. Proceeds from the Pizza Lunches and other fundraising efforts go towards funding the wishlist, which enriches learning opportunities for the students at Clinton, such as the purchase of classroom aids, books for the library, gym equipment, field trips, scientists in school, community support, greening of the school yard, and our unique art program where visiting artists work with students on different art projects.
